Pre-Trip Training Session 1

This blog will be tracking and reporting the delegates participating in the Japan Homestay Programme 2010. Stay tune for pictures and videos what they will be experiencing before and during the learning Journey.

Training begins as early as two months before the 28 delegates set off to the Land of the Rising Sun; Japan. In order for the pupils to fully appreciate the country, they need to learn the basics in conversational Japanese.

That's just what the pupils underwent today during the first session. Let's take a look at what went on...

Lesson 1 introduced the pupils to Hiragana which they will learn how to phonetically express themselves in basic Japanese. The pupils also had a chance to try out their newly acquired language skills with their friends.

Since it's the first time time for most of them; mistakes are abound which drew pretty much laughter during the lesson.

However, everyone is very serious about their own learning and is putting in a lot of effort to pick up the language.

Until the next session, they will be busy revising at their own time what they have learned today.
